Young Drivers Academy

The Young Driving Academy will be launched in January with bookings being taken from now.

The location for this programme is going to be Ingliston Show Ground near Edinburgh Airport.

The acadmey is designed for 15 & 16 year olds who wish to undertake an educational driving programme.

As part of this programme they will learn the theory of driving by attending classes and then go out and be able to put the theory into practise.

They will be tutored by an Approved Driving Instructor who is approved by the Driving Standards Agency and who holds an advanced driving qualification.

As part of the programme they will also undertake first aid and vehicle mechanics at basic level teaching them how to look after their respective vehicles and maintain them.

The Emergency Services inc Fire & rescue and the Police service will attend and give presentations and demonstrations.
